The rainy season has arrived. The hydrangeas in our storefront are at their best and blooming beautifully.
The hydrangea (called “ajisai” in Japan) is originally from Japan.
They are popular in Japan during the rainy season and are planted in private homes, temples, schools, and many other places.
Some temples in Kyoto have a large number of hydrangeas, and the best time to see them is now. If you are not sure which temple to visit, it is fun to visit temples famous for their hydrangeas.
